Good food at great prices. The staff is super friendly and all the food was fresh. My veggies on my burger were all fresh. The gave me a lot of fries. The wife and I got a great lunch for $25 all together. Definitely will frequent Mel's.
Today was my first visit ever there. August 3, 2025. We missed the breakfast cut off so we decide to have lunch. I had one of the best hamburgers I ever had and it was fresh meat. Our server was great to us. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it very much. Place was clean very well orientated. Cannot wait to try their breakfast.
Thought we would try something new. Very friendly, cute citchy place inside. Loved the music and that u could still carry on a conversation. Grilled ham and cheese was delicious (not made with lunch meat, nice thick ham). Good sweet potato fries. Not expensive.

Excellent burger, fries and salad! Service was fantastic,meaning friendly, efficient and cheerful. Food was tasty and we could tell that they used fresh ingredients. The prices were very reasonable. We had a classic, small-town diner experience and Mel's exceeded our expectations.
If you live the 50’s and amazing food, then look no further! You have found a little slice of heaven in Prairie Grove, AR! We recently stopped in and was blown away! Outdoor seating, too! I had the chili and let me tell you! You will want to slap your momma over this one! I tried the chicken, as well. Just can’t go wrong with anything on their menu! Portions were huge for the price! The entire place took me back to a simpler time and I enjoyed every second of it! Even met the owners and they were just as kind as I knew they would be! Get on in there and have a great meal! Or just grab a fried pie! You can’t lose either way!
There is not a better Burger that I have ever ate! Everything at Mel's diner is amazing! Including the owners who cook and serve you everytime no matter what . And their pancakes are amazing!!! I couldn't find a picture of the pancake but it was bigger than the plate! The sidewinder fries so crispy hot perfect . Fried mushrooms! Plus the price you can't beat! I just thank the Lord that they are close to where I live!! If you live far away it's worth the drive. The only downside is .... They close at 2:00 pm. But how else could they have a life and be the ones that cook for you and serve you every time no matter what. Thank you Mel's diner for amazing food every time we come in and I'd like to think we are frequent flyers for not living in the same town . Sorry this post is so long but this place deserves it!! Burgers are the best and the fries are always fresh. I always get the double cheeseburger and let me tell you it is massive I am 235 pound and it fills me up. The Waite is about 10-15 mins but is not fast food is home style and way better than fast food. The waiter or owner not sure but they are always nice and respectful. Will bring my family here.
It says it right on the sign best Berger and all of Northwest Arkansas probably a half pound handmade to order not frozen amazing All the veg on the burger was fresh crisp not wilted what mortgage you ask for? Got onion rings side oh my God, most places give you three they gave you a whole plate full. Gotta love these guys. I heard the breakfast is the best around. Will bring my whole family back to find out.
